Astra Lumina’s Inaugral Winter Fest Lights Up Young Minds

A Celestial Celebration Marks New Beginnings

Astra Lumina The School of Inspiration’s first-ever Winter Fest transformed the campus into a hub of discovery and creativity on January 4-5, 2025. The two-day extravaganza brought together young explorers aged 3-12 years, featuring a spectacular 20-foot glowing moon installation that became the talk of Bachupally. The lunar centrepiece, complemented by VR moon landing simulations and a first-of-its-kind meteor exhibition, gave children a unique opportunity to experience space exploration up close.

Creative Workshops Foster Future Leaders

The fest’s diverse workshop lineup showcased Astra Lumina’s commitment to holistic development. From dining etiquette sessions to public speaking workshops, children engaged in activities that built both life skills and confidence. The culinary workshops proved particularly popular, with young chefs-in-training mastering the basics of food presentation and kitchen safety.

Age-Tailored Activities Leave Lasting Impressions

Each age group found their perfect creative outlet through carefully curated activities. The youngest participants (3-5 years) delighted in sensory experiences like clay moulding and butterfly paint & fold, while the middle group (5-8 years) showcased their creativity through bookmark making and origami necklace crafting. The older children (8-12 years) took on more complex challenges, producing impressive tie-and-dye kerchiefs and landscape artwork. Every participant took home their handcrafted creations, carrying tangible memories of their Winter Fest adventure.

Building Community Through Innovation

The event not only highlighted Astra Lumina’s innovative approach to education but also strengthened community bonds, with parents and educators coming together to celebrate young talent. The overwhelming response and positive feedback have set a strong foundation for making Winter Fest an annual tradition in Bachupally’s educational calendar.

Keep Focused and Track Progress

Drinking two litres of water a day and having a sleep schedule has drastically improved my focus and ability to concentrate, but more so having a set plan already in place, I no longer open my books and waste precious time wondering what to do or where to focus. I can look at my chart and see exactly what I need to do and get started straight away.

After all the hard work, it’s very rewarding to cross off the topics on your calendar to show how far you have come. This can help keep you on track and stay motivated and give you the best chance of success.

My experience of distance learning has been exciting and enlightening! I have got to know people from various countries and continents.

A few of my friends are also studying, not at the same university or even the same course, but having other friends who I can ‘study buddy’ with or check in, keeps us all determined and on track. Scheduling in catch-up time can give much needed respite without panic. This keeps your goals realistic and manageable.
